Acceptable use policy
Last updated October 28, 2026
Welcome to TeamSpot, operated by Uyar Consulting Partners LLC! Our platform helps dance studios manage staff, communicate, share resources and organize daily operations. To keep it safe, respectful and professional, everyone using TeamSpot follows this Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”).
This Policy applies to all studio owners, administrators, employees, instructors, contractors and other authorized users (“Users”). It's part of our Terms of Service, alongside our Privacy Policy, and everyone agrees to it before using TeamSpot.
1. Appropriate use
TeamSpot is for legitimate dance studio business: staff communication, scheduling, class management, sharing instructional materials, payroll preparation and administration. Use it lawfully, professionally and respectfully. You may not use TeamSpot to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, intimidate, discriminate against or abuse another person.
- Send sexually explicit, obscene, exploitative or otherwise unlawful content.
- Share content that exploits, endangers or violates the rights or privacy of minors.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or authority.
- Distribute spam, fraudulent communications, malicious software or harmful links.
- Engage in unlawful activities or encourage others to do so.
- Access information, accounts or materials without authorization.
- Interfere with the security, availability or operation of TeamSpot.
2. User-generated content
Users can create, upload, record, store and share content: messages, announcements and comments; photos, videos and audio; music, choreography and instructional materials; documents, schedules and files; and employee records, timesheets, evaluations and incident reports. Users are responsible for the content they share. By sharing content, you confirm you have the rights, permissions and authority to do so, and that it doesn't violate any law, intellectual property right, privacy right or this Policy.
3. Photos, videos and protection of minors
Dance studios work with children, and protecting their privacy and safety matters especially. Before sharing photos, videos, recordings or identifying information about minors, Users and their studios are responsible for having every permission and parental or guardian consent required by law and studio policy. Users must not:
- Upload or share images or recordings of minors without appropriate authorization.
- Share student images, videos or personal information with anyone not authorized to see them, or outside their intended audience.
- Upload child sexual abuse material or any content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.
- Use TeamSpot for inappropriate communications, grooming, exploitation or other harmful conduct involving minors.
Studio administrators are responsible for their organization's safeguarding, media-consent and access policies. TeamSpot may remove or restrict content and accounts, preserve relevant information, and report suspected exploitation or unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities as required or permitted by law.
4. Privacy and confidential information
Users may see confidential information about employees, students, families and studio operations. Users agree to:
- Access only information they're authorized to see.
- Protect employee, student and family information from unauthorized disclosure.
- Avoid sharing sensitive personal information unnecessarily, and use appropriate access settings when sharing.
- Follow applicable privacy, employment and data protection laws.
Studio administrators decide who in their studio has access to which information. Don't store payment card details, government identification numbers or medical records in TeamSpot, except in features designed for that information, such as injury reports.
5. Copyright and intellectual property
Respect others' rights in music, choreography, instructional videos, photos, recordings, documents and teaching materials. Sharing something in TeamSpot doesn't give permission to use copyrighted material; Users and their studios are responsible for any licenses or permissions they need. TeamSpot may remove allegedly infringing content and take action against repeat infringers in line with the law.
6. Studio administrator responsibilities
Each subscribing studio manages its authorized Users and what happens in its workspace. Administrators are responsible for:
- Inviting and removing staff, and assigning appropriate roles and access.
- Setting workplace conduct and communication standards.
- Managing permissions for student photos and videos.
- Responding to internal complaints and staff disputes.
- Collecting, using and sharing employee and student information lawfully.
- Reporting suspected misuse or security incidents to TeamSpot promptly.
TeamSpot provides software. It isn't the employer, supervisor or personnel manager of a studio's Users.
7. Content monitoring
TeamSpot doesn't routinely review, screen or monitor messages, photos, videos, recordings, documents or other content, and doesn't guarantee that inappropriate, unauthorized or unlawful content will be found or prevented. TeamSpot may, but has no general obligation to, review or access content when reasonably necessary and legally permitted, to investigate reported violations, respond to security threats or misuse, protect Users, minors, others or the platform, comply with the law or court orders, and enforce its terms.
TeamSpot's team enters a studio's workspace to help with setup or a problem only when the studio's administrator turns on support access (Admin → TeamSpot support), and even then can't see billing, chat, injury reports, department requests, class feedback or time entries. Any access is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and the law.
8. Reporting violations
Report suspected violations promptly, including harassment, inappropriate content, unauthorized sharing, privacy concerns or security issues, to support@teamspot.app, and, where appropriate, to your studio administrator. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services. TeamSpot may investigate reports and take appropriate action, subject to the law.
9. Enforcement
When reasonably necessary, TeamSpot may:
- Ask for prohibited content to be removed or corrected, or remove it.
- Restrict access to specific content or features.
- Suspend a User or workspace temporarily, or end access for serious or repeated violations.
- Preserve or disclose information when legally required or permitted, and refer suspected unlawful activity to the authorities.
TeamSpot may act immediately in cases involving threats to safety, child exploitation, serious security risks or other serious misconduct.
10. Responsibility
Each User is responsible for their conduct and the content they share. Each studio is responsible for its own personnel policies, decisions, permissions and legal obligations. TeamSpot doesn't supervise the communications or activities in studios' workspaces. Limits of liability are set out in the Terms of Service; nothing here limits responsibilities that can't lawfully be limited.
11. Changes
TeamSpot may update this Policy as the service, the law or security practices change. When it changes in a way that matters, we'll ask everyone to read and accept the updated Policy before continuing to use TeamSpot.
12. Acknowledgment
By agreeing when you start using TeamSpot, you confirm you've read and understood this Policy and will follow it. You also understand that TeamSpot doesn't routinely monitor what Users post, and that you're responsible for your own conduct, what you share, and following your studio's policies and the law.
